The sports school

Every Saturday during term time, young people can learn to sail in Optimist dinghies and windsurf, supervised by our qualified instructors.

history Histoire

Un siècle de voile

Sailing in Boulogne-sur-Mer began with the first Boulogne regattas in 1852. After years of regattas, the rise in popularity of recreational boating led to the official creation of the Boulogne Yacht Club in 1925.

Initially focused on cruising sailing, the club opened up to dinghy sailing in 1954 after merging with the "La Mouette Boulonnaise" club.

Today, the Boulonnais Yacht Club organises cruising regattas and introductory courses in dinghy sailing, and every year welcomes hundreds of young people to practise all forms of sailing.
