Do you need to know how to swim to go sailing? expand_more
Yes. As with any water-based activity, you must be able to swim and feel comfortable in the water. A certificate of swimming proficiency may be required for minors. However, no sailing experience is necessary: our instructors welcome beginners.
Do you need to have sailed before? expand_more
No. Courses, private lessons and cruising trips are open to both beginners and experienced sailors. Instruction is provided by a state-qualified instructor who tailors the session to your level.
What should you pack and wear? expand_more
Please bring sportswear suitable for the weather, a change of clothes, shoes that can get wet, sun cream, a windbreaker and water. Safety equipment (lifejacket, gear) is provided by the club.

You will be welcomed by the instructor, who will show you around the boat and go through the safety instructions; the sailing will then be tailored to your ability. For cruising trips, we set sail from the marina in Boulogne-sur-Mer aboard our JOD 35.
What happens if the weather is bad? expand_more

Dinghy sailing and wingfoiling take place from the beach (234 Boulevard Sainte-Beuve, Boulogne-sur-Mer). Cruising sailing departs from the marina at Quai Chanzy. Both locations are in Boulogne-sur-Mer (62200).
