One hundred years of the Boulogne Yacht Club

The Boulogne Yacht Club will celebrate its centenary in 2025. A hundred years of sailing, a hundred years of passion for bringing sailing enthusiasts together in Boulogne-sur-Mer.

The History of the Club

Following the first regattas in 1852 and the development of recreational boating, the Yacht Club Boulonnais association was founded in 1925. The club initially brought together owners of cruising yachts before expanding into dinghy sailing after merging with "La Mouette Boulonnaise" in 1954. Today, the club brings together more than 200 dinghy and cruising sailors and teaches sailing to anyone who is interested!
